Our Staff Undergoes Continuous Training – Weekend Sensory Training

Modern education is constantly evolving. New teaching methods, technological advancements, and the changing needs of children and youth all mean that teachers must continuously improve their qualifications. Our staff is well aware of this, which is why we regularly participate in various forms of professional development. This time, we dedicated an entire weekend to sensory integration training, which was an incredibly valuable experience.

What is sensory processing and why is it so important?

Sensory processing is a field that deals with how humans receive and process sensory stimuli. In children, sensory development plays a huge role – it affects concentration, motor coordination, emotions, and even social skills. Sensory integration disorders can cause learning difficulties, behavioral problems, and hinder daily functioning.

That is why it is so important for teachers – especially in preschools and primary schools – to have knowledge in this area. This enables early recognition of signs that may indicate sensory problems and prompt implementation of appropriate support for the child.

Our Staff at the Sensory Training

Last weekend, our entire teaching staff participated in intensive sensory integration training. The meeting was led by experienced therapists who shared theoretical knowledge and practical tools that we can implement in our daily work with children.

The training lasted two days and included, among other things:

• fundamentals of sensory integration theory,

• recognizing symptoms of sensory disorders,

• exercises and games supporting sensory development,

• creating sensory support plans in the school environment,

• practical workshops using sensory aids.

Thanks to this, our staff not only expanded their knowledge but also received concrete tools that can be immediately applied in working with students.
