Alumni testimonials about our school
At Oxford Secondary School, I met people who taught me a lot through their diverse experiences and ways of looking at the world. We mutually motivated each other and supported each other’s development. The teachers, with great dedication, were able to inspire and encourage learning, which
resulted in my very good grades. There is an atmosphere of cooperation, openness, and mutual support here.
This place allowed me to develop not only academically but also personally. Over four years, my English proficiency significantly improved, and the IB program enabled me to learn in a more engaging, practical way and opened the door to studying abroad.

IB was the best choice for my secondary education. I found it to be less demanding than the Polish Education System for two reasons. Firstly, I got to choose my classes which helped me focus on what I was truly interested in. Secondly, spending less time on subjects I didn’t need meant more time to actually learn and apply the material without pointless memorization. It also gave me the opportunity to explore issues not covered in the national curriculum and expand my knowledge on topics that interested me. The work I did during the IB helps me at university, especially when it comes to conducting research and writing academic papers. Had I not done the IB, I would now struggle with college workload. Instead, I learned how to manage my time and plan out my responsibilities so I have time for a social life, without compromising my academics.

During my time in the IB programme, I learned far more than just academic content. The workload and structure pushed me to become genuinely organised, disciplined and consistent in meeting deadlines. It also strengthened my confidence, both in expressing my
ideas and in tackling challenging tasks without giving up. Even when things felt
overwhelming, the IB taught me resilience, balance, and how to manage my time in a way that will stay with me long after high school. Overall, it shaped not only how I study, but how I approach new opportunities and challenges.

The IB program greatly influenced my development. It taught me systematic and organized work, which is now useful in my university studies. Thanks to IB, I can plan my studies, work regularly, and juggle many responsibilities.
At Oxford, I met people who became important to me and who supported and motivated me. Thanks to them, these four years were filled not only with learning but also with personal growth.
Zofia Marczak
I really enjoyed the IB programme. As someone who grew up in an Irish school system, it felt the most familiar. It was in the way we wrote our essays, answers, and tests, but also the material itself. Being in university now, it also helped me get comfortable with writing essays, and understanding the structure of an essay.
Agata Kaczmarczyk
Participation in the IB program significantly changed the way I approach learning and plan my academic future. Thanks to demanding subjects and project work, I learned to organize my studies independently and approach assigned tasks responsibly. IB showed me that the most important thing is not only acquiring knowledge but also the ability to apply it in practice and think critically.
The atmosphere in which I had the opportunity to learn was also very important. I met people with different interests and goals, which broadened my horizons and taught me to cooperate with people who see the world differently than I do. Joint learning, exchange of ideas, and mutual support during difficult moments made me feel real development week by week.
Teachers played an equally important role. Their approach, openness, and ability to explain difficult issues motivated me to continue working. They repeatedly showed how to combine theory with practice and how to relate to topics globally, which is one of the key elements of IB.
Thanks to all this, I feel well prepared for university studies.
The IB program taught me systematic work, responsibility, and fluent English, which opened up the possibility of continuing my education abroad. I am convinced that the competencies I gained will be a great support in my further academic path.
